Review of My Extended Stay at Hilton Garden Inn Malaysia Hello, fellow travelers! I’m back with a review after an experience that was both rewarding and challenging. Over the past 9 months, I’ve had the unique opportunity to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Malaysia. As an Asian arts enthusiast, I’m always keen on exploring how hotels align with the cultural richness of their surroundings, and I wanted to share my journey here with you. A Unique Perspective on Long-Term Hotel Stays Most travelers visit hotels for short stays, but I was fortunate enough to experience Hilton Garden Inn for an extended period. This gave me a deeper insight into the service, amenities, and overall experience that might not be noticeable during a brief visit. While the luxurious decor and high standards were immediately apparent, living here long-term allowed me to notice the nuances of the hotel's offerings. The Good: Comfort and Convenience Hilton Garden Inn’s location was a great starting point for my travels and work in Malaysia. The hotel provided a comfortable and reliable space to work and relax after long days. The rooms were consistently clean, with housekeeping always on top of things. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped make the long stay much more pleasant. They always greeted me with a smile, and their attention to detail made me feel at home. For anyone who appreciates high service standards, this hotel didn’t disappoint. The Not-So-Good: Areas for Improvement That said, there were moments when I felt the hotel could do more to maintain consistency for long-term guests. For example, the breakfast offerings sometimes became repetitive, and I would have appreciated a bit more variety or occasional themed meals. Additionally, although the hotel is great for business stays, there were a few occasions when the Wi-Fi didn’t perform as expected, especially during peak hours.

It has been good, this is my first time in Malaysia and with time I have really started liking the location of the hotel, it’s easier to reach all goto places. The hotel rooms are decent sized and have all the necessities. Something which hotel should urgently work on is getting the carpets washed, that leaves a slight bitter taste. Restaurant breakfast is good, but I wouldn’t recommend half board since the dinner menu is very restrictive and sometimes items in that menu are not available too. Had a couple of glitches on checkin, but what matters is how the hotel handled it and I am pretty satisfied with it.

Fantastic value, Waking up to Twin tower view room was awesome, with sunlight onto bed and sleeping with lit-up twin tower was lovely too. Rooms are spacious and on larger side. Bathroom is spacious and toiletries are good. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options to choose from. And to top it up, all the Service staff right from Receptionist, bell boy, and the nice gentlemen in restaurant who goes above and beyond in making sure everything is good, was exemplary.

Although I'd recommend booking the South building (this is review is for the North building, right next door) (both Hilton Garden Inns) as it is the same price and has a rooftop pool and restaurant with a view of the three main buildings - Menara, Petronas, Merdeka 118. However, the North building has access to this rooftop and they don't do themselves justice on booking.com by not mentioning this or showing it in pictures.
